Scott P. Cragg is an Advisory Board Member of G2 Equity Partners


Scott was appointed to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board in December of 2014. In this capacity he fulfills the roles of Chief Information Officer and CTO.

Prior to the FRTIB he served as the CIO, U.S. Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security, and has held Senior Executive positions as Deputy CIO Enterprise Strategic Plans, Programs & Policy, and Chief Architect at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; Chief Information Officer, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency; Deputy CIO Operations & Deputy Assistant Secretary Technical Services, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Senior Staff Officer for Marine Aviation and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the Office Assistant Secretary of the Navy; Research, Development & Acquisition (DASN-AIR).

Mr. Cragg has a diversified background leading national Federal transformational and technology programs such as the Presidentially directed VA/DoD Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record Program, and VISTA Electronic Health Record Open Source initiative. He began his career at the Naval Air Systems Command, as an aerospace engineer on Chemical, Biological and Radiological Defense Programs; served as Chief Engineer, EA-6B Carrier Based Electronic Warfare Aircraft; Deputy Program Manager (DPM), Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Program, DPM Medium Lift Helicopter Replacement Program, DPM Acquisition Information Systems, and Assistant Program Manager, Navy/Marine Corps Aircraft Global Positioning Systems at the Naval Space and Warfare Command.

Mr. Cragg holds a bachelor of science in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University and a masters degree in Engineering Administration from George Washington University.
